Cette planche rend hommage à Ahmed, dont le visage veille aujourd'hui depuis les hauteurs de la cathédrale Saint-Jean à Lyon. Une histoire méconnue du patrimoine lyonnais, racontée par Vladimir Colovray, alias À l'Époque, et illustrée par Anthony Leon (Lord of Onion Rings).

Au Moyen Âge, les bâtisseurs avaient pour tradition de laisser leur empreinte dans la pierre. Des siècles plus tard, cet héritage a perduré lorsque le tailleur de pierre Emmanuel Fourchet choisit de sculpter le visage d'Ahmed, l'un des chefs de chantier ayant consacré sa vie à la restauration de la cathédrale.

Originaire d'Algérie, Ahmed a participé pendant plus de quarante ans à la préservation du patrimoine religieux lyonnais. Son engagement exceptionnel a été reconnu en 2016 par sa nomination au grade de chevalier de la Légion d'honneur lors de la rénovation du chœur de la cathédrale Saint-Jean.

Aujourd'hui, son visage fait partie de l'édifice. Une présence discrète, gravée dans la pierre comme un hommage à tous ceux qui œuvrent dans l'ombre pour transmettre l'histoire aux générations futures.
